Who we are
LandlordScout ([company name], registered in England & Wales, ICO registration [number]) provides UK property-owner contact information to property professionals (letting agents, rent-to-rent operators, and short-let management companies) for business-to-business communication about property services.
If you are a landlord — what we hold and why
Where a property is owned by a company, we may hold: the property address, the owning company's name and registration number (from public registers), and the business contact details of its directors (from licensed business-data providers). Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: enabling relevant business-to-business contact about property management services. Where a property is owned by an individual, we do not sell email addresses; telephone details are only provided screened against TPS.
Where the data comes from
Our core records come from Companies House — the public register of UK companies. For a company whose registered activity is letting or managing property we hold its name, registration number, status, SIC codes, incorporation date, registered office address, the names and public service addresses of its current directors, and its registered charges (mortgages), including the lender and the particulars filed. This information is published by Companies House as open data. Where a customer asks us to find a direct email or telephone number, we also carry out targeted research on that specific company. We record the source of every record.
Contains public sector information from Companies House licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0; company data © Crown copyright. We do not hold or resell HM Land Registry proprietor data.
Your rights
You can object at any time — use the opt-out page and your details are permanently suppressed and never supplied again. You can also request a copy of what we hold, correction, or erasure by emailing privacy@[yourdomain].co.uk. We respond within one month. You may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Retention and recipients
Contact records are re-verified periodically and deleted when no longer accurate or needed. Recipients are our business customers, who are independently responsible for contacting you lawfully and must include an opt-out in every message.
